Based on strong customer feedback, Acoustica set out
to develop the simplest way to preserve all of your
old LPs including 45s and 78s and tapes. The latest
Acoustica release, Spin It Again, records your LPs &
tapes to MP3s, CD or DVDs. It makes the process of
recording a record into child's play. Even if you
don't own any records or tapes, you could convert
your parent's old LPs to CD.
Normally, you'd have to use several programs to
record it, split the recording into multiple tracks,
remove noise and crackles, render it to MP3 and/or
burn it to CD. In addition, you'd probably end up
using 2 or 3 times the hard drive space.
However, Spin It
 Again
streamlines this very specific task so that you do
less work and spend more time enjoying your music.
Spin It Again runs as a wizard and includes a
friendly 'voice assistant'. The voice assistant
guides you through connecting your record player or
tape player to your computer as well as helping you
to get the ideal recording level. After you record a
side or both sides of your record, select "Normal
Noise Reduction" from the Effects drop down box to
quickly clean any noisy recordings. Type in track
names, if desired, and mix down to MP3 or burn a CD!
The software is easy to use, straight to the point
and makes the process of recording your LPs and
tapes as close as possible to the level of "ripping"
your CDs. It comes with support for 3rd party VST
and DirectX effects and 96khz/24 bit recording for
the more seasoned users out there.
